Gli Elder si formati nel 2005 a Boston in Massachusetts. Dal 2006 hanno pubblicato diversi demo ed EP oltre a sette album: "Elder" (2008), "Dead Roots Stirring" (2011), "Lore" (2015), "Reflections of a floating world" (2017), "Omens" (2020), in collaborazione con la band tedesca di rock psichedelico Kadavar " A story of darkness and light" (2021) e infine "Innate Passage" (2022) uscito per il mercato statunitense per la label Armageddon Shop https://armageddonshop.com e per quello europeo, giacchè la band ha sede a Berlino, la tedesca Stickman Records https://www.stickman-records.com.
- Il loro sound è un crossover tra heavy psych, progressive rock e stoner metal per un prodotto di ottimo livello tecnico.
